One of my assistants, Hilari, visited this week and we baked and tested 12 recipes. TWELVE!! Can you believe it? That’s more than I can do in a month! (By the way both freezers are stocked with about 1,200 cookies.)
I was all ready and prepared to share a new recipe today, but this busy week kept me in the kitchen. Instead, I’m answering a question many of you have asked over the years…

As it turns out, salted caramel is the most loved recipe on my website. Made from only 4 simple ingredients in only 10 minutes, this homemade caramel is fresh, salty, sweet, and irresistibly buttery. No candy thermometer required and the possibilities are endless. So today I’m showing you 50 different ways to eat salted caramel and trust me, after trying this 1 time… you’ll be hooked like the rest of us. For reference, here is my salted caramel recipe.
Pies with Salted Caramel
Flaky apple turnovers are so easy to make using frozen puff pastry: simply stuff and bake! You’ll love them warm with caramel drizzled on top.
Everything you love about apple pie– the gooey cinnamon filling, the warm apples, the buttery homemade pie crust– all baked inside an apple and topped with salted caramel sauce.
Buttery shortbread crust + brown sugary oat streusel + gooey cinnamon apples + liquid gold = salted caramel apple pie bars!!
Three parts to love about this apple pie: 1) a buttery, flaky crust, 2) salted caramel, and 3) cinnamon-spiced apples.
Each bite of my deep dish apple pie is stacked with sweet and spiced apples. Top it with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of salted caramel because CLEARLY we don’t mess around when it comes to apple pie.
